Youth Gardening Program

Our youth gardening programs are designed to cultivate socially, physically & emotionally healthy children through the garden experience.

Children's Gardening
For children, in grades 3-12, the Junior Master Gardener Program engages children in "hands-on" group and individual learning experiences that instill a love of gardening, develop an appreciation for the environment, and cultivate the mind. This nationally recognized program offers:

    • Life/skill and career exploration

    • Service learning opportunities for youth

    • Correlation to NYS Learning Standards ( all areas, not
      just Science )

    • We offer NYS Standards-based Curricula developed by Cornell University and other Extension Universities. Resources include useful websites, thematic units, lesson plans, enrichment activities and CCE fact sheets.
