Highlands Beauty
****Exhibit on Display ****
since November 2010

Geoffrey Welch, the Ramapo River Watershed Keeper, and the Curator of Harmony Hall in Sloatsburg, has taken photographs of Rockland County and the New York/New Jersey Highlands region for the past three decades.
Many have been used in campaigns
by various environmental groups
to help save thousands of acres
of open space and biodiversity in
this region, particularly in the
Torne Valley area of western Ramapo.

Geoff studied both art and music
and composes and performs music, much of which is inspired
by Highlands' landscapes.

The photographs on display
range from hikers on top of Torne Mountain to rainy vistas in Harriman State Park, and insects such as a
Tiger Wasp Spider in the Harmony Hall Historic Herb Garden.
